Descrizione

Le loro forme caratteristiche che li raggruppano in genere sono la forma semi-rettangolare e la loro variazione di colore in base all'habitat. Il loro cibo più comune è il corallo , motivo per cui sono originari delle barriere coralline che abbondano vicino alle coste . Questo li rende molto facili da vedere nelle immersioni subacquee.

Diffusione

Tutte le specie del genere abitano acque tropicali e subtropicali, che hanno come habitat l'Oceano Pacifico e Indiano e anche una parte dell'Oceano Atlantico.
